PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/reproducing device, for which tilt control in the tangential direction and the radial direction is carried out by a simple constitution and also at a low cost. SOLUTION: This device is constituted, in such a manner that a 1st difference value between an upper side peak value of a 1st push-pull signal and a 1st inversion peak value inverting the polarity of a lower side peak value is taken, and a 2nd difference value between an upper side peak value of a 2nd push-pull signal and a 2nd inversion peak value inverting the polarity of a lower side peak value is taken, then a tangential tilt detecting signal is outputted on the basis of a sum of this 1st difference value and the 2nd difference value. A radial tilt detection signal is outputted on the basis of the difference between a 1st amplitude adding the upper side peak value of the 1st push-pull signal and the 1st inversion peak value therewith and a 2nd amplitude adding the upper side peak value of the 2nd push-pull signal and the 2nd inversion peak value therewith. The device consists of signal detection means 16, 17, peak detection means 32, 33, addition means 24, 25, 30 and subtraction means 23, 29, 31.
