PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the so-called whole crop operation by mounting a cutting device on an existing type self-propelled type roll baler according to a simple construction, soiling crops, feeding the soiled crops into the roll baler and forming the resultant crops into a roll bale. SOLUTION: This self-propelled roll baler is capable of raking up grass cut down to the ground surface with a pickup device 2 while traveling, feeding the grass into the side of a baler chamber 1 and forming the roll bale. In the self-propelled roll baler, the cutting device 3 for cutting the grass is installed on the horizontal side of the pickup device 2 to soil rice plants, barleys or wheats, pasture grass, etc. The resultant soiled crops are then collected with the pickup device 2 and formed into the roll bale in the baler chamber 1.
