PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifier circuit which is provided with a mechanism for preventing over-current to the circuit of subsequent stage, when an AC power supply is turned ON without use of a circuit element in large size such as a relay switch and a current control resistor or the like. SOLUTION: The rectifier circuit is composed of a control switch which can control the ON function. In this rectifier circuit for rectifying an AC signal supplied from an AC power supply, a control circuit is provided to restrict the period for turning ON the ON-function controlling switch during the predetermined period immediately after at least the AC power supply is turned ON.
