PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor that is capable of stabilizing the behavior of a brush which is slidably held, at the time of the motor's operation, by a brush holder of the motor, thereby reducing the sound of the brush at the time of the motor's operation, and to provide a matching split mold, consisting of two split molds, for resin-molding a brush holder of the motor. SOLUTION: The motor is provided with a brush holder 26 that holds a brush 30 being slidably in contact with a commutator 18, having formed a first, second, and a third side walls 40, 42 and 44 opposite to three side faces of the brush 30, in the sliding direction, and with guide pieces 46, 47 covering the part of the remaining face of the brush 30 (that is, the face opposite to the side wall 44) except a piercing part for a pigtail 32, in the sliding direction. The guide pieces 46, 47 are formed staggered in the direction, in which the brush 30 advances and retracts relative to the commutator 18.
