PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna excitation coefficient analyzing device, that measures the distribution of electromagnetic field in the vicinity of the pole of an array antenna, and then analyzes the excitation coefficient of each antenna element from the measurement value. SOLUTION: A transmitter 1 is operated, and then the electromagnetic field in the vicinity of the pole, radiated from the array antenna 2 is measured by a probe 3. The electromagnetic field data in the vicinity of the pole measured by the probe 3 is received by a receiver 6, and the probe 3 is stored into a data storage device 7 with the position information of the probe 3, obtained from a positioner 5 scanning in a scanning area 4. The relative excitation coefficient of each antenna element can be analyzed, using the electromagnetic field data at the near area to the pole of the array antenna 2 stored into the data storage device 7 and the electromagnetic field data at the near area to the pole of an arbitrary element, selected from among each antenna elements 11-14 which constitute the array antenna 2 in the excitation coefficient analyzing device 8.
