PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of measuring a substance to be measured in a short time without the need for separating operations or special equipment by simple processes. SOLUTION: By making present in a uniform state in a solution (a) a first enzyme combined with a first substance to be specifically combined with the substance to be measured, (b) a substrate of the first enzyme, (c) a second enzyme which is an enzyme for catalyzing the reaction to create a second product from a first product created from a first substrate by the first enzyme and a second substrate and is combined with a second substance to be specifically combined with the substance to be measured, (d) the second substrate, (e) a third enzyme which competes with the second enzyme for the first product created from the first substrate by the first enzyme, and (f) a specimen possibly containing the substance to be measured, the concentration of the substance to be measured in the specimen is measured.
