PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of simultaneously displaying a plurality of parts under consideration on a low magnification image and simultaneously comparatively observing the difference of the shape and color of the respective parts under consideration. SOLUTION: In order to display the part under consideration in the low magnification image 25 by a high magnification, a range 25a desired to be photographed is specified in a rectangle by a mouse dragging operation or the like for instance on the low magnification image. When the specifying operation is performed, a stage position and a photographing magnification at the time of photographing are decided from the position and size of the rectangle and registered as the part under consideration. In order to indicate at which positions on the low magnification image a plurality of the parts under consideration are to be, speech balloons 26a are attached. Also, the low magnification image 25 and a plurality of high magnification images 26 in the low magnification image 25 are automatically updated at all times be remotely controlling a microscope.
