PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid battery preventing overflow of an electrolyte in a battery container through a vent plug by vibration. SOLUTION: An electrode group 2 is housed in the battery container 1, the electrolyte 6 is filled up the electrode group 2 in the battery jar 1, a vent 9 is installed in a lid 8 sealing the battery container 1, a drip catch cylinder 10 is projected on the lower surface of the lid 8 surrounding the vent 9, and the vent plug 11 is fit to the vent 9. A liquid level behavior suppressing cylinder 12 suppressing the liquid level behavior of the electrolyte 6 is supported by the vent plug 11. The liquid level behavior suppressing cylinder 12 is disposed with its upper part above the liquid level of the electrolyte 6 and the lower part immersed in the electrolyte 6.
