PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional matter measuring instrument capable of detecting the color data and three-dimensional data of three-dimensional matter to be measured of which the three-dimensional shape dynamically changes such as a person, an animal or the like and the displacement quantity data of the surface shape thereof, capable of measuring the color data of a surface such as the skin color of a face or the like by visible light and measuring the shape change of the moving face to apply desired image processing thereto. SOLUTION: The color data of the surface of the three-dimensional shape is grasped by an image pickup means of visual light so as to grasp the change of the three-dimensional shape such as a person, an animal or the like having movement and the color data of the surface of the three-dimensional shape. An image pickup means using light having an arbitrary wavelength and an image pickup timing control means are used to measure not only the three- dimensional shape but also the displacement quantity of the surface shape of the three-dimensional shape due to movement.
