PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter which stably operates between the non-load condition and the maximum load condition without use of a feedback circuit. SOLUTION: This DC-DC converter comprises a control unit (404), two switches (408, 410), a transformer (406) and a rectifying diodes (412, 414). The transformer (406) includes the first coils (416, 418), second coils (418, 416) and a center tap. An input voltage is connected between the center tap and the earth. Anode of each diode (412, 414) is connected to external terminals of two coils, while each cathode of two diodes is connected with each other to supply a positive output to the earth. The control unit (404) is connected between the external terminal of one coil and the earth. The control unit (404) generates the control signals of opposite phases to turn ON and OFF in the predetermined period by controlling the switch, and alternately generates currents from one coil by alternately connecting the first and second coils (416, 418) and the earth. Accordingly, an output voltage which is higher than the input voltage is supplied by inducing a voltage to be added to the input voltage to the other coil. This converter operates while the voltage is adjusted under the non-load condition within a wider range without use of feedback.
