PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propelling apparatus for a shield machine different in diameter, which can cope with tunnels of various diameters. SOLUTION: The propelling apparatus for the shield machine different in diameter, is comprised of an eccentric length adjusting fixture 20 and an adjusting shoe 25. The eccentric length adjusting fixture 20 is detachably attached to a rod 15 of a shield jack 12, and has its eccentric length L set beforehand according to an eccentric distance of the rod 15 with respect to a tunnel diameter. The adjusting shoe 25 has its periphery shaped according to the tunnel diameter, and has its rear end abutted on an existing segment S and its front end mounted on the eccentric length adjusting fixture 20.
