PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a reverse display with a very simple circuit and reduce the manufacturing cost for design regardless of the number of input data. SOLUTION: In a simple matrix-typed liquid crystal display device which is provided with a liquid crystal panel 17, a driving circuit driving the liquid crystal panel 17, and a power supply circuit 10 generating fixed voltage for driving the liquid crystal panel 17 and in which the non-choice electric potential of driving voltage on the scanning side drive takes the intermediate potential between positive driving potential and negative driving potential for driving, an alternating current signal generating circuit 11, which is a means to make the logics of a liquid crystal alternating current controlling signal in a signal side driving circuit and a scanning side driving circuit mutually the same or reversed, is installed.
