PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing solution containing the iron (III) complex of a monoaminopolycarboxylic acid as a bleaching agent, generating no stain on the surface of a photosensitive material in processing and having a satisfactory desilvering performance and to provide a liquid processing agent having bleaching ability and using the iron (III) complex of a monoaminopolycarboxylic acid excellent in storage stability as a bleaching agent. SOLUTION: The processing solution having bleaching ability for a silver halide photographic sensitive material contains the iron (III) complex of a monoaminopolycarboxylic acid having a specified structure and a 1- aminoalkyldicarboxylic acid and/or its iron (III) complex and the content of the latter is 0.005-20 mol% of the content of the former.
