PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the connection loss of an optical link and to easily confirm transmission of communication light without breaking an optical connection. SOLUTION: An optical connector is provided with one optical element 12 to which communication light is transmitted, the other optical element 14, a connection member which fixes both optical elements, and a light transmission display device 34 which displays light transmission, and the light transmission display part is constituted of a transparent part made of a material having a refractive index higher than that of air and a light scattering part and is provided with an end face junction part 36 interposed between end faces of one and the other optical elements and a light transmission window which is provided in an aperture part 28x for light transmission window formed in the connection member and displays leaked light occurring from the end face junction part.
