PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical system and method for the monitoring control system and monitoring control method for a network having a plurality of transmission devices to be connected with. SOLUTION: The system comprises a processing device 1, which conducts transmission/reception of monitoring information and control information with a plurality of transmission devices 3, and a display unit for a terminal device 2 and the like. The processing device includes, a monitoring database 14 for storing monitoring data including physical addresses and names, a monitoring unit 11 for displaying names determined from the monitoring database 14 according to physical addresses of collected monitoring information on a monitoring information display screen 21, an accommodation management database 15 for storing accommodation data including physical addresses and names, an accommodation management unit 12 for conducting storage processing of the accommodation data and display processing of an accommodation information screen 22, and a control unit 13 for referring to the display content of the accommodation information screen 22 and a control screen 23 to generate and send control information.
