PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication device which can transmit at a registered resolution in response to a one-touch dial, not through a resolution selected by a user via an operation part at low communication costs when a facscimile communication via the Internet is selected, and which can transmit at a resolution selected by the user via the operation part as communication costs are high when the facscimile communication via PSTN is selected. SOLUTION: When a telephone number is registered in response to an operated one-touch dial, a transmission is made based on a reading resolution selected by a reading resolution selecting means, whereas when an e-mail address is registered in response to the operated one-touch dial, a communication is executed at the registered resolution in response to the operated one-touch dial.
