PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate antenna that saves space in such a way as capable of being incorporated in a mobile terminal, an electric appliance, or a wall at a low cost and assured performance, and that is capable of sufficiently withstanding the effect caused by a metal box inside a product or a user's hand and the like. SOLUTION: The surrounding of a radiating element 2 is hollowed out by a specified width and length to form a slit 4 in such a way that a part of conductor plate 1 constitutes the radiating element 2. The other part of the conductor plate 1 constitutes a ground part 3.
