PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera on which a film and an imaging device are mounted to photograph an object that can solve a problem of the service life of a battery for consecutive shots by the imaging device where the technological innovation increases the capacity of a memory. SOLUTION: The camera of this invention uses a cartridge chamber 15 to which no film cartridge 14 is mounted as a space for mounting an auxiliary power supply 25 and the chamber 15 is provided with contacts to which the auxiliary power is supplied. When film photographing is switched into digital photographing, the battery 33 is mounted in the free cartridge chamber 15 or an adaptor case 31 with the battery 33 loaded thereto is mounted on the camera as the auxiliary power supply 25 to attain digital photographing for a long time, and then the camera is compatible with increased operations such as erasure of image and confirmation of a monitor.
