PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment capable of being easily gripped surely even when an internal surface is smooth without using a suction type erector and a gripper for gripping the segment. SOLUTION: In the segment 10 used for lining a tunnel, the above-mentioned problem is solved by using the segment with a circular plate-shaped segment body 1 and inserting hole sections 4, which are formed to a facing-side end face 2 facing the facing side of the tunnel in the segment body 1 and into which the gripper 3 gripping the segment body 1 when the segment body 1 is assembled on the inwall side of the tunnel is inserted.
