PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock latch disengaging mechanism which minimizes the number of parts thereof by combining a simple mechanism with rational members. SOLUTION: The lock latch disengaging mechanism is formed of a driving member and an engaging/disengaging member. The driving member is axially supported in a lock box, and has an upper first receptacle and a lower second receptacle. The engaging/disengaging member is axially supported in the lock box at a location between the driving member and the latch provided for the lock box, and has an engaging portion at a front end thereof, for disengageably engaging with a rear end of the latch, and a sliding portion at a rise portion of a rear end thereof, for making sliding contact with a pressing portion arranged on the driving member. The lock box has window holes formed in a side wall at upper and lower locations thereof, and an upper pressing piece and a lower pressing piece to be moved by operating an operating member are protruded from the upper and lower window holes, respectively, to an inner space of the lock box.
