PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage card capable of coping flexibly with security. SOLUTION: This storage card 1 comprises an electrically rewritable flash memory 4 for storing authentication program and a resistor 9 for storing codes showing whether commands by a host computer 100 are accepted by a CPU 3 or not. When the commands are issued from the host computer 10, the CPU 3 always refers to the code values thereof. After the authentication processing is performed in the storage card 1, the code values are rewritten so that the code values show an acceptance permission for all commands from the host computer 10. Then, when the command indicating the rewriting of the authentication program is issued from the host computer 10, the authentication program in the flash memory 4 is rewritten. |
