PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a stable transfer electric field by a simple structure without dependence on the positional relation of a back-face electrode and prevent the adverse effect of the electrification of a facing member, thereby always obtaining stable transferability, in an image forming device in which after a toner image formed on an image carrier is primarily transferred to an intermediate transfer body, the toner image is secondarily transferred from the intermediate transfer body to transfer paper or the like. SOLUTION: An electrode member (belt drive roller 21) with intermediate resistance is disposed on the back face of the intermediate transfer body (19), in a transfer area used for secondary transfer.
