PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an interfering substance for nucleic acid amplification by which the interfering substance for a nucleic acid amplifying reaction can rapidly and simply be removed from a biological material specimen to efficiently carry out the nucleic acid amplification with the resultant usefulness in the field of clinical diagnosis. SOLUTION: This method for removing the interfering substance for the nucleic acid amplifying reaction comprises treating the biological material specimen containing the nucleic acid with an acid.
