PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for the development estimation of a crack wherein a crack development amount from the crack can be estimated simply when an object having the crack is subjected to a nonsteady load. SOLUTION: A unit stress expansion coefficient regarding a plurality of preliminarily prepared crack shapes and a nonsteady stress distribution in a case where the defect does not exist in the object to be estimated are used, a by-shape nonsteady stress expansion coefficient regarding the plurality of crack shapes is found, a nonsteady stress expansion coefficient with respect to the crack shape in each point of time used to calculate the crack development amount is found by interpolating the found by-shape nonsteady stress expansion coefficient, and the crack development amount in the point of time is found based on its value.
