PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent seizure of a piston and generation of slap noise and the like due to deformation of left and right circumference wall parts 15, 15 of a lower part of a cylinder wall 1 by restraining deformation of the part even high gas pressure is given on the part. SOLUTION: In a multiple cylinder engine forming an intra-cylinder wall by connecting adjacent cylinder walls, thickness of the left and right circumference wall parts 15, 15 of the lower part of the cylinder wall 1 connecting to front and rear of left and right side parts 2c, 2c of a lower part 2b of the intra-cylinder wall gradually increases as the left and right circumference wall part 15, 15 get closer to the left and right side parts 2c, 2c.
