PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water passage structure for a cylinder head with reduced variation in flow speed of cooling water flowing between ports. SOLUTION: In the cylinder head with upper and lower cooling water passages, wherein the lower cooling water passage 12 is provided with flow inlets 15a to 15d for the cooling water, flow passages 31 between ports, flow outlets 14 for the cooling water communicating with the upper cooling passage, the cooling water flowing from the flow inlets 15a to 15d runs into each of the flow passage 31 between ports, and flows into the upper cooling water passage through each of the flow outlets 14. In the above structure, each of the flow passage 31 between ports is diversified into two diversion passages 32, 33 to lead the cooling water flowing in the diversion passages 32, 33 to the different flow outlets 14 and make it flow into the upper cooling water passage. As a result, since the proper flow of the cooling water between ports can be assured, cooling efficiency is improved and durable quality of the cylinder head is enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
