PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an oscillation device for a driving simulator capable of giving the cenesthesia of the vehicle motion to an operator with the sense nearer to that of the actual driving. SOLUTION: The driving simulator includes a driver's seat in which an operator seated thereon performs a driving operation and the oscillation device which oscillates the driver's seat in response to the operator's driving operation. In the driving simulator, the additional acceleration to be applied to the driver's seat is obtained from the driving operation of the operator, and the oscillation of the oscillation device to be given to the driver's seat. is determined on the basis of the obtained additional acceleration. By performing a shaping process, the component that does not influence the cenesthesia for the driving operation to be obtained by the operator is removed from a displacement instruction indicating the motion to be performed by the driver's seat in response to the driving operation of the operator.
