PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path control method, its receiver side circuit and transmitter side circuit capable of transmitting data by using a normal path on the occurrence of a fault in part of paths among a plurality of paths of virtual concatenation. SOLUTION: When the receiver side circuit detects a fault of a particular path, the receiver side circuit multiplexes data from only the normal paths except the faulty path to restore data, and the transmitter side circuit allocates no data to the faulty path on the basis of a fault state of the receiver side circuit so as to use the normal paths to transmit data on the occurrence of a fault in part of paths among a plurality of the paths of virtual concatenation.
