SUBSTANCE: error correction device that may be used in digital data transmission and processing systems for error correction in case of five-fold message transmission has decision unit, four selector switches, four shift registers, and synchronizer; novelty is introduction of quality detector for analyzing each word character received and for generating erase signal, as well as erasure correction unit including erase signal for most reliable similar-name characters of message repeated many times.
