METHOD FOR IMPARTING BENDING TO BAST-FIBER CROP STALKS

FIELD: textile industry, in particular, primary processing of bast fibers. SUBSTANCE: method involves initially moving stalk butt end and apex end at different linear speeds; thinning stalk layer in different zones of layer-forming machine. Apex and butt ends of stalk have different thinning coefficient values. Toothed discharge disks of thinning mechanism provide equal speeds for apex and butt ends of stalk at outlet end of layer-forming machine. Method allows favorable conditions for transition of layer from layer-forming machine to breaking machine to be created by imparting bending to stalks. EFFECT: increased efficiency by eliminating longitudinal loading of bast fiber stalks. 2 dwg
