FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, production of alloying compositions. SUBSTANCE: method includes mixing of coarse powders of active metals with dispersity of 0.1-3.0 mm with subsequent pressing. Produced briquette has density equaling 0.50-0.95 theoretic density of active metal powder mixture. During heating, synthesis of briquette components takes place in melt of treated metal.
