HEAT INSULATING STRUCTURE FOR ICE MAKING CYLINDER OF AUGER TYPE ICE MAKING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure around an ice making cylinder low in cost and excellent in manufacturability. SOLUTION: A cooling pipe 11 is wound around the ice-making cylinder 10 in a designated shape. A cover 30 is opened from a slot groove and is fitted around the ice-making cylinder 10 from a horizontal direction and is connected at the slit groove with a clip to be assembled in a cylindrical shape. Both of upper and lower edges of the cover 30 are inserted into insertion grooves 44 of caps 40U, 40L and are closed to construct a heat insulator filling space around the ice making cylinder 10. Heat insulating material is injected from an injection opening 50 of the cap 40L in an upside down position. The heat insulating material is injected in liquid state and stays in a bottom side and then foams. The heat insulating material accumulates and expands while breeding air from an air breeding opening 51 and fills up the filling space to form a heat-insulating layer 25. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
