PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring handling cover device for a desk top plate or the like, capable of simplifying the operation of the wiring cover and simplifying the design, and strong and hard to be broken. SOLUTION: In this wiring handling cover device for the desk top or the like, a fitting opening S having a square plan view is formed in a top plate 11 of a desk 1, inner wall surfaces 3, 3, 21a, 8a forming the fitting opening S are provided with a locking means, and the locking means is provided with a plug socket box 5 where a bayonet socket 54a used in connection of a power supply plug or information terminal jack is provided on a top surface part 51, and an inclined part 52 inclined downward from the top surface part 51 is formed on at least one side surface. Further, a plate wiring cover 4 is placed to cover the fitting opening S on the top surface part 51 of the plug socket box. A storing space S capable of storing the wiring cover 4 in the erect state is formed between at least one inner wall surface 21a of the fitting opening S and the side surface opposite to the inner wall surface 21a, in which the inclined part 52 of the plug socket box 5 is formed.
