PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively check damage of boots with simple and inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint 10 has expandable resin boots 20 having one end installed in a cylindrical part 18 for constituting a joint member 14. These resin boots 20 are provided with a space part 56 for absorbing a shock by a flying stone between a shoulder part 40 and an inner peripheral surface 54 by separating the inner peripheral surface 54 opposed to the shoulder part 40 of the cylindrical part 18 outward in the radial direction from the shoulder part 40.
