PURPOSE: An image processing digital recording system capable of identifying an object is provided to automatically track an object in a security system to monitor the object in real time. CONSTITUTION: An image processing digital video recorder includes a zone monitoring camera controller(100,300). The zone monitoring camera controller analyzes an image captured by the digital video recorder to identify moving objects. The zone monitoring camera controller gives ID to each of the identified objects and describes the shape, color, texture, size and center point of the object. The described information is utilized when the corresponding object is tracked. The zone monitoring camera controller collectively processes images of a plurality of zone cameras and, when an object being tracked is out of a monitoring area of a specific zone camera, analyzes a progressive direction and final coordinate value in a corresponding image to decide a next zone camera capable of monitoring objects.
