PURPOSE: An automatic control device of a lamp for a refrigerator is provided to cut down expenses by preventing overheat of the lamp with using the bimetal, and to improve the reliability by controlling operation with detecting temperature of the lamp. CONSTITUTION: An automatic control device of a lamp comprises a door switch unit(1) applying power to the lamp with switching in opening and closing a refrigerator door, and bimetal(2) placed between the door switch unit and the lamp to insulate power applied to the lamp by bending according to change of temperature in increasing temperature of the lamp. The lamp is turned off by insulating power with bending the bimetal in increasing the temperature of the lamp. Overheating of the refrigerator lamp is prevented by using the bimetal. The reliability is improved by controlling operation with detecting the temperature of the lamp.
