PURPOSE: An electronic power steering system with power latch mode is provided to improve steering stability by modifying the power source into the battery power line in an ignition power line and supplying the system power source with using inhibition signals in turning off an ignition switch. CONSTITUTION: An electronic power steering system comprises an OR gate(11) for logical sum of inhibition signals from a main control unit and signals from an ignition power line; an AND gate(12) for logical product of high or low signals from the OR gate and input signals to a battery power line; a relay(13) turning on and off according to high or low signals form the AND gate; a regulator(14) generating voltage by inputting power of the battery in turning on the relay; and an ECU(electronic control unit,15) controlling the electronic power steering system by inputting power of the battery in turning on the relay. Steering stability is improved by supplying power in turning off the ignition switch with the inhibition signal from the main control unit.
