PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device configured so as to audio-encode and decode a signal composed of a mixture of components of different sound sources.SOLUTION: Provided is an inter-harmonic noise attenuation post filter adapted so as to receive an input signal, the input signal including a preliminary audio signal that is decoded by one of a plurality of decoding modes, the post filter action being associated with a decoding mode and supplying an output audio signal, the post filter having a control unit for making the post filter selectively operated in one of i) a filtering mode for filtering the preliminary audio signal to obtain a filtered signal and supplying it as an output audio signal and ii) a pass-through mode for supplying the preliminary audio signal as an output audio signal. The control unit is configured in such a way that the pass-through mode is entered in accordance with the value of post-filtered signal, and thus a conventional filtered decoding mode is applied without being filtered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
