PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight measuring system for deposit baggage by which the weight of the deposit baggage can be controlled easily in each flight user unit and in each baggage unit without giving an unpleasant feeling to a flight user more than that in conventional cases. SOLUTION: The weight measuring system is provided with an inside check apparatus 11 by which the loaded baggage 1 is irradiated with a transmission radiation so as to obtain an image at the inside of the baggage, and a weight measuring apparatus 13 comprising a loading base 13a installed just before a baggage loading side of the apparatus 11. The weight of the baggage 1 is measured by the apparatus 13 just before the baggage is loaded onto the apparatus 11. A security seal indicating that the baggage 1 has been checked by the apparatus 11 is issued as a common seal ticket 4 on which weight information is printed. A printing operation of the weight information onto the ticket 4 is performed in parallel with an operation in which the inside of the baggage 1 is checked. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
