PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a toothed belt, and the toothed belt, while preventing cracks and sound production from a joint part of a tooth cloth at an early stage. SOLUTION: This method includes a step for forming and finishing a joint part 30 into a tooth cloth with a predetermined peripheral length by overlaying ends of fiber materials, fusion-cutting and welding the ends while applying the pressure; a step for forming an insertion part to the joint part 30 for inserting a positioning bar positioning the joint part 30 in a groove when a metallic mold having grooves along the longitudinal direction are coated with a tooth cloth 3; a step for inserting the positioning bar into the insertion part and attaching the tooth cloth 3 to the metallic mold in a manner that the positioning bar is placed in the groove; and a step for spinning a core wire 35 on the surface of the tooth cloth 3 attached to the metallic mold, laminating an unvulcanized rubber 36 on the toothed cloth after detaching the positioning bar, and vulcanizing it so as to form a belt sleeve.
