PURPOSE: A settlement method using a portable communication terminal is provided to strengthen security by processing a settlement process after the user certification using the portable communication terminal applying a biometric recognition technology. CONSTITUTION: If a settlement request signal is inputted from a user by operating a key button of the portable communication terminal(S10), the user certification is performed by making the user input a fingerprint(S11). A settlement information request signal is transmitted to a settlement terminal(S15). If a service item and the price information are received from the settlement terminal, the user confirms the information by displaying the information on a screen(S16). If a settlement approval signal is inputted by the operation of the user(S17), an approval is requested by transmitting the settlement approval signal to the settlement terminal(S18).
