PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which enables a user to confirm the information displayed on a display screen when a light source is turned on and in which the display screen in non-display state is made invisible to the user by a provided mirror covering the display screen when the light source is turned off, and a refrigerator provided with the display device. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a sheet type half mirror 252 so arranged as to cover a face (a display screen 24a) of a liquid crystal display panel 241 and a backlight 242 arranged on the other side.
