PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven pan head device in which miniaturization is made without interfering with the driving of a unit to be driven in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The motor-driven pan head device drives the unit 3 to be driven such as a camera, a lighting fixture in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. The motor-driven pan head device comprises a driving section for driving the unit 3 to be driven in the horizontal direction, a unit base 1 for supporting the driving section, cables 26 for an external power supply and for connecting a controller to the driving section to give and receive signals and the power supply, and a take-up means for the cables 26. The cable take-up means is composed of a cable take-up drum 21 provided integrally with the output pulley 24 of the driving section.
