PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling tower of an air conditioning facility which prevents freezing of sprayed water. SOLUTION: In this cooling tower 10, a water spraying pump 20 is connected with an outside air temperature sensor 28 via a temperature switch 30. Unless a detected value of the outside air temperature sensor 28 exceeds a predetermined value, the water spraying pump 20 is adapted not to be driven. In winter, when the outside air temperature is low, the water spraying pump 20 is stopped, and the water is not sprayed, so that the sprayed water would not be frozen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
