PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear of a desirable use such as the feeding wheel of the pump of gear type or the drive wheel of the motor of gear type. SOLUTION: This toothing comprises a tooth end and a tooth root which are formed by the curve of a secondary or higher degree. The curve is suitable for the mutual tangent direction at the tooth end and the end part of the tooth root. The curve which forms the tooth end 3k at least or the curve which forms the tooth root 3f at least is the toothing of a gear which is not a cycloid. Neither the curve which forms the toothing end 3k nor the curve which forms the toothing root 3f may be a cycloid. The outline of the gear formed by the curve is differentiable continuously, and preferably it may be differentiated continuously at least two times. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
