摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a liquid crystal panel and a liquid crystal display device in which the power consumption is reduced and the display unevenness is suppressed, and to provide an electronic apparatus using those. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is comprised of a liquid crystal panel 10 having the predetermined number of scanning electrodes and signal electrodes, an X-driver 16 for applying lighting voltage or unlighting voltage to those signal electrodes, a Y-driver 24 for applying selected voltage or unselected voltage to these scanning electrodes, a power source circuit 30 for applying a predetermined voltage to the X-driver 16 and Y driver 24, and a polarity inversion control circuit 32 for properly inverting the polarities of the lighting voltage or the like to be applied to the liquid crystal pane 10 from the X-driver 16 and the Y-driver 24. This polarity inversion control circuit 32 changes over the polarities of the signal voltage and the scanning voltage to be applied to the liquid crystal panel 10 according to the pattern of characters, figures, or the like, thereby minimizing charge-discharge of capacitors formed by the display dots.
