PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector, a method, and an apparatus whereby surface mounting is readily performed on a circuit board with accuracy even in the case of a connector having a number of terminals. SOLUTION: Cream solder 14 is applied to solder 12 protruding from the back surface of a connector 2. The connector 2 is placed on the surface of a circuit board in this state, and the circuit board is heated in a reflow furnace to surface-mount the connector 2 thereon. Since the cream solder 14 is soft, even when the number of terminals 11 is increased, the electric circuit of the circuit board and the terminals 11 are positively connected to each other. As a method of applying the cream solder 14 to the solder 12, the connecter 2 is flipped over, is placed on a mounting part 5, and is covered with a mask plate 4 having through holes 8. Subsequently, the cream solder 14 is applied on the surface of the mask plate 4 and the through holes 8 are filled with the cream solder 14 by a squeegee 9.
