PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast-designing method which designs a cast in a short time, and can confirm reliability of the obtained cast design in a short time. SOLUTION: In the method for designing the cast which shows a manufacturing lot of a casting process, by combining one or more charge showing the manufacturing lot in a refining process, this cast-designing method comprises preparing a display section 22 for an order amount for each steel type on a display screen 21 of a data processing unit 13, to display an order pattern 24 for each steel type, preparing a charge display 23 on the display screen 21 to display a charge pattern 25 by cast, clicking one order pattern 24 with a mouse, which is displayed in the display section 22, dragging and dropping it to the charge display 23, to newly display the charge pattern 25 for one charge component of the order pattern 24, and displaying the order pattern 24 on the display section 22, which indicates the remaining total order amount obtained by means of deducting the order amount of one charge component from the total order amount.
