PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical device capable of realizing the space saving, the facilitation of assembly work and the reduction of manufacture cost of a variable power finder lens driving part by constituting the optical device so that the number of parts in the variable power finder lens driving part can be reduced with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: An optical device 1 is constituted of variable power finder lens members 4 and 5 driven to advance and retreat in an optical axis direction; a finder cam guide member 3 which is supported turnably and where a cam part 3B at whose one end part cam surfaces 3d and 3e consisting of twisted inclined surfaces formed to be extended in a radial direction on the periphery of a rotary shaft are formed and a guide part 3A which guides the members 4 and 5 in the optical axis direction are integrally constituted; cam followers 4d and 5d integrally moving with the members 4 and 5 in the optical axis direction and abutting on the cam surfaces 3d and 3e; and springs 6a and 6b energizing the cam followers 4d and 5d so that the followers abut on the cam surfaces 3d and 3e. The cam part 3B is turned with the shaft center of the guide part 3A as the center of rotation, whereby the members 4 and 5 are driven to advance and retreat in the optical axis direction.
