PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation button device and a display device capable of clearly displaying a piece of image information on the front face of an image display panel with a simple constitution requiring no components such as condenser lens which requires focus distance setting.SOLUTION: The operation button device includes: a support member 2 attached to an image display panel P which has an image display plane S; a transmission member 3 which is formed to cover a part of image display plane S and has a light guide path 3A for guiding an image of the image display plane S therein to display the image on a front display plane 3B; a slide member 4 which is provided movably with respect to the image display plane S in an approaching and separating direction (arrow A-B direction), and which moves when a pressing operation is made on a button operation plane 4A at a position being overlapped with a display plane 3B of the transmission member 3; and detection means 5 for detecting an operation made on the slide member 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
